October FiRE Newsletter available - issue 100!
In this issue of FiRE, we honor Pastor August Fricke, whose recent passing has left a lasting impact on our community. Pastor August’s legacy, built through compassion, humor, and unwavering faith, laid the foundations of Asia Focus Australia, transforming simple acts of service into a mission that has reached countless lives. His dedication to breaking barriers and reaching the unreached inspires us to continue planting seeds of faith that will bear fruit across nations.
Also in this issue, we celebrate the recent visit of Esther Hien from Vietnam. Her time in Australia saw her connecting with communities from Bundaberg to Adelaide, sharing inspiring stories of God’s work through her ministry. Through her presentations, many were moved to support her work in Vietnam, where Esther’s radio ministry and humanitarian efforts continue to change lives.
As our work in Asia and Africa continues, we remain committed to supporting partners in 14 countries. From Nepal’s home churches and Myanmar’s refugee support to Liberia’s resettlement projects, AFA enables local leaders to bring the Gospel and practical aid to communities in need. Every donation directly supports these ongoing projects, with no hidden administrative costs.
Looking forward, we invite readers to join our next mission trip in April/May 2025 to Nepal and Sabah, Malaysia. This journey will offer a hands-on opportunity to witness Asia Focus’s impact firsthand and support ongoing initiatives. For those interested in joining, please reach out — together, let’s continue the work that Pastor August inspired.
